It's a very emotional piece. I don't know what you originally intended, but to me it suggests what the brothers feel after an unsuccessful game. Disappointment, shame, sorrow, and a yearning to try again, though an uncertainty whether they could be successful again.
The colors perhaps are a bit strong, especially in the brothers' faces, which look very red almost to the point of sunburn. Mario's left leg seems a bit off in its intersection with the right; perhaps hiding the foot a little more behind the right leg would give a better sense that he's sitting with one leg crossed.
Okay just so you know; I wrote a huge long critique then dA exited out of this page and now I have to start again! I really like this piece, I think it really looks great, and you've put a lot of thought into it! This really struck out as I was looking at some art of yours, and it was definitely worth clicking on! I really like the silver bits of the edges, I've always liked the shiny backing on stickers! Scores; Vision: I gave you a 4½/5 for vision, because I think you had a really good vision of what you wanted this to look like, and I actually have a vision of what you wanted it to look like, and it takes work to get both minds working on the same piece of art! Originality: I gave you a 4½/5 for this section because I really like how you've taken two original characters and put emotion and thought into recreating a different version, in your own style! Technique: I really quite like the shading, as it plays a huge part in the main picture, and how people see it! Impact: 5/5 for impact, because this is a really great piece and I really do love the work and effort you've put into it! Overall score: 17/20 Here is some useful feedback for next time: -Are the faces meant to be as red as they are? Maybe toning down the colour shade a bit might help make them look a bit more realistic. -Some of the feet and leg poses are't quite right in dynamics, you could maybe just look at that for a next time? -Maybe a little lighter on the heavy colour, and some more shading, or was it meant to be dark and heavy? It would be interesting to see the difference! Overall Comment: I really like this work, and many others of yours, so well done!
My theory on their past was that they did have a good childhood *nobody really bullied them..except wario and waluigi from time to time* though their guardians sorta had high expectations on the boys *especially mario being the oldest and etc.* and they were exposed to a lot of things *since living in N.Y...and not exactly the safest place* Then as time grew on They still had a good life though they had problems with a friend's stuck up cousin at times. The jerk would just mock them for what they did for a living saying they'll never amount to nothing. The boys knew that wasn't true *cause heroes usually never give up on finding something better in their lives* and then when they were fixing one of their aunts plumbing a light came out and then dragged them into the MK.
What started it was both Luigi and Mario started getting memories of their early past *memories that had been long forgotten or erased* and Luigi often dreamed of a kingdom in flames and people screaming and needing help. Ex: Luigi: huh??? WHAT THE!??? *see's a castle burning and thousands of people screaming trying to get away, and then some shadowy creatures are rising* W-WHAT'S GOING ON!!?????
As for Mario he kept seeing a blonde girl *Peach* begging for his help.
I love how i drew this It just blows my MIND I just found out a coloring style that is SO EASY and never even new it...who knew that crayons and color-pencils could be such a GREAT mach!! heart: I'll show you a "step-by-step" if you want! You may even find it easy since you could anyway you wont and no one would even know.
