After Ray got back to the castle, he decide to do a check up on Nate to see how his levels of recovery was coming along only to see when he walked into the room that father, William, was already doing the checks.
"How's his levels?" asked Ray as he walked around to the side of the bed to look at the test strips William had already done.
"So far everything looks normal; the only problem I've encountered was his blood level readings. It's showing some kind of fast active activity, but I hadn't been able to find out what that is."
That's when the tone in Ray's voice changed, "Give me another reading!" he demanded as if in a panic that something was wrong. Then after a second test strip Ray took a look at it as he held the strip to the light then after seeing the different blood color patterns, Ray knew right away what it was as he handed the strip back to William, "What you saw in his blood levels, was active Chromean!"
"What? Active Chromean…but how..? The kid doesn't have an element…"
"So we thought!" stated Ray as he looked at Nate's other levels, "according to some of these readings, Nate's Chromean must have been recently activated."
"I thought Chromean was only active when he encounters his element's spirit?" wondered William as he turned to look at Ray.
"Not necessarily, Chromean can be activated with or without the spirit. Usually when the Chromean is active without the spirit that means the levels of the Chromean energy were high or in some cases the energy was forced to level up," explained Ray.
"That would make seines then. Because if his energy levels were no active before, then it was force to activate when his body was attacked," thought William.
"Not only that, but because he had lost so much blood in a short amount of time the bodies only natural defiance was to activate the only power source it had to survive and keep him alive. This sort of power is very rear but if it hadn't activated as quick as it did, my resurrection power wouldn't have been enough to save him," finished Ray, "Now the only question is…what is his element?"
"Ray my son, you are very wise. I never would have guess any of this if you hadn't have told me," smiled William as he stood up, "I am proud to have you as my son. Your mother would've been so proud if she could see you now as well as Anthony. You both have come a long ways."
"Thank you, I honor your comment," nodded Ray then turned as he left to mention the news to the others about the Chromean.
Well Well...something tells me...Nate's got something special.
